  • When do I get my Pre-Ordered Pura dispenser?
    • From day 1, the whole team has been working as fast and as hard as we can, and will continue to work that way. We plan to ship as soon as possible, and hopefully sooner.
  • Can I use more than one Pura dispenser in my house?
    • Yes! We created Pura to fully automate the fragrances of your home. You can have as many Pura dispensers as you like, and each dispenser will be registered separately on your phone to allow you to control each dispenser independently.
  • Does Pura work for iOS and Android?
    • Yep! Both Apple and Android. For Apple: iOS 9 or higher is supported. For Android: Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) API 19 or higher is supported.
  • Can anyone use the API?
    • Yes, we will provide an OAuth2 open REST API.
  • How is pura powered?
    • Pura needs to be plugged into a power outlet. Universal input power of 120/240VAC allows for complete international compatibility.
  • Can I connect my Pura dispenser to Nest, IFTTT, etc?
    • Yes! We will provide updates throughout the cloud to allow your Pura dispenser to have the latest and best features and work with new products. All new updates are pushed through the cloud, over-the-air (OTA), so you constantly have the latest software.
  • Do you ship internationally?
    • Yes. There is a $15 flat fee per dispenser for any international shipping. That cost includes an adapter that allows you to use Pura in your country. Sales Tax, VAT and import duties are responsibility of customer.
  • What fragrances are available?
    • We have been creating a line of premium fragrances for Pura, and have a fantastic selection of scents that will be available really soon. After launch, every customer can rate the scents from their app. We will rotate out any fragrances that customers don’t love and continue to introduce new and innovative fragrances, while still keeping the favorites. 
  • Where do I pick the fragrances?
    • Closer to our shipping day, you will receive a message from us asking which fragrances you prefer. 
  • Am I forced to create a schedule for my Pura dispenser?
    • No. If you want, you can just turn the dispenser on or off through the phone and not create a schedule. However, each dispenser comes with smart defaults, such as a pre-set schedule for your ease. You can choose the room and it’ll give you a schedule that you can easily modify if you’d like.
  • Is there cloud support with the app?
    • Yes, the Pura cloud infrastructure is included. Thus allowing remote access to your dispenser when you’re away from home and keeping your app settings synced with the dispenser at all times.
  • Is there a warranty?
    • es, 30 day return and a 1-year limited warranty. 
  • What is the Men's Line?
    • We created a home fragrance line engineered with "The Guy" in mind.  You can even control your dispenser remotely to turn it on before  heading back to your place.
  • How will I know which fragrances to choose?
    • Similar to how Netflix knows your movie preferences, we know your fragrance preferences. Pura Scents uses algorithms based on your usage, ratings and choices. This determines which new fragrances you will enjoy. The app also has a lively description of each fragrance and stunning imagery that correlates with that scent. Each fragrance has descriptive keywords associated with it to assure you understand exactly what each fragrance blend smells like, without even needing to smell.
  • How much does the fragrance refill cost?
    • When you buy your dispenser it comes with 2 free fragrances of your choice. Each fragrance refill lasts on average 1 month. With the subscription that we offer to our customers, it costs only $12.95 a month to receive 2 new fragrances of your choice every month and $3.95 for each additional fragrance thereafter and it’s shipped directly to your door. 
  • Do you have a referral program?
    • Yes! You will be given a unique code through the app to share with your friends, family and colleagues. Every time someone uses your code, both of you receives 1 month of free fragrance of your choice.
  • How do I get my new fragrance refills?
    • Your Pura dispenser lets you know through the app when your fragrances are running low. In the app you can see all available fragrances to choose from in our marketplace. You can browse by room type, mood or keywords to help you choose your desired fragrance. With a push of a button we ship your fragrances directly to your door before you run out.
  • Will there be additional fragrances?
    • Yes! Initially we are launching with 15 fragrances. With your help and feedback, we will create the fragrances that are most requested by our customers and even totally new smelling fragrances.
  • Can I use fragrances from other brands in the dispenser? 
    • No. However, we're partnered with one of the world's most renowned and respected creators of fragrance to produce high-end scents created exclusively for Pura. We offer fragrances for everyone and every lifestyle. In addition to our high-end scents, we have fragrances that eliminate odors and not just cover them up.
  • Are the fragrances 100% all natural?
    • Quick answer: no, they include blends of oils and synthetics. However, Pura is Latin for Pure. We are striving to accommodate everyone’s preferences, including those who only want natural scents in the home. Rest assured, all our scents follow the strictest rules and guidelines in cosmetics, and we're being very deliberate and cautious to keep the fragrance ingredient line-up and quality at the very best. For example, most low-end, cheap stuff at the local store utilize additive ingredients like Phthalates and Dichlorobenzene, but we do not. This initial Pura design only works with synthetic fragrances and not essential oils. This is largely due to the dispersement technology behind each type. Our current Pura design uses an evaporative technology to disperse the fragrance, whereas essential oils typically require an ultrasonic or nebulizing diffusing technology.
